Iodosorb Iodine Ointment 10g or 20g - For infected wounds with or without Mepore Dressings

This dressing releases iodine when exposed to wound exudate.
The iodine part acts as an antiseptic and the cadxomer part acts to absorb the wound exudate.
This combination reduces the bacterial load in the wound and allows the natural healing process to begin.
The cadxomer also encourages de-sloughing of dead skin from the wound.
Not to be used by patients with Thyroid problems unless the doctor has been consulted first.
