For infected wounds - Iodine based dressing used to treat infection.
Suppresses bacterial growth and give the wound a chance to heal itself.
Widely recommended by wound care nurses for infected wounds
Not to be used by people with thyroid conditions unless advised to do so by their doctor

Will stain the skin and any clothes it comes in contact with a brown colour that is difficult to remove. The Inadine can be cut but needs a secondary dressing over it to keep it in place.
